"The Superchips Bluefin stage 1 tune for your Audi 2.0L Quattro isn’t going to tear your face off, but it’s definitely gives a worthwhile increase in acceleration. My experience is that for spirited driving it is definitely quicker, but still super smooth, no dips or peaks throughout the rev range. The way the speedo climbs is astonishing. At traffic lights, without even trying, you will easily pull a few car lengths on most cars well before reaching 60kph. If you have a go, it’s even better.

For general driving, I found that the extra torque seemed to be making the gearbox change a little earlier than I would have liked. This had the effect of putting the motor below it’s useful torque band. This was solved by driving the car with the gearbox in sports mode. With the gearbox in sports mode and the with the Bluefin, the car acts much more like what you would do if you were driving a manual. It is much more fun to drive, much more responsive, and an unexpected but welcome side effect is a significant increase in fuel economy, despite pushing it pretty hard at any opportunity.

Was it worth it? It’s a lot of fun for the money, so that’s a yes for sure!"
